That little cuss!!

I know it's only Wednesday, but this might help you get thru the rest of the week :p
He's Australian, single & plays rugby :)

After enjoying some delicious strawberries, provided by our host, we finished cutting our coupons for the evening and retired to the living room to enjoy Fairly Legal's first episode of the season.  Sadly they didn't start the episode with a "last season on Fairly Legal" clip, so we were a bit lost during the first few minutes because we couldn't remember how the season had ended.  It was an enjoyable espisode and it ended with a bang - literally.  We then enjoyed some old episodes of Reba in which Van was exceptional.  Our witty title comes from that episide actually.  Van was attempting to be fatherly and told little Jake "If you keep watching that TV your head will turn into a boob tube!"

Well we hope you enjoyed our post for the week - just in case you didn't enjoy some jokes!!

"Why was 6 afraid of 7?"
"Because 7 8 9!!"  *Courtesy of little Jake

"Which are the stronger days of the week?"
"Saturday & Sunday - the rest are weakdays"

"When does it rain money?"
"When there's change in the weather!"

Yeah - some of those are cheesy, but hopefully you cracked a smile.  ZAPATOS!!

Another Day in Paradise...

To our dearly beloved and dedicated readers. Merry Christmas!
Tonight for our Tuesday festivities we cut coupons (as per usual) , watched Face Off, and the ending to He's Just Not That Into You because that's really the best part anyway.  Face Off is show one of our members recently heard about at play practice. It was a tad strange, however we did find it partially enjoyable. The costumes/masks/characters were supposed to be "deadly and beautiful." We, however, would say they looked "retarded and tacky", "intriguing and thought provoking", and  "disturbing and petrifying."   We don't have much time tonight - but we did enjoy our time together (as we always do).  So Zapatos and Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Jake Adams....don't miss what's right in front of you!

If you're ever attempting to evict a loud bird, have a tenant meeting.  We hear it works really well.  But we can't tell you who though, because then we'd have to kill you.....

"Blessed be this union and may it bear fruit."

So yeah, if you find Jake Adams let us know what he's up to, becaues we have a member who loves to have breakfast in Milan and lunch in Paris :)

So Zapatos our faithful readers - and please don't watch "What's Your Number" it's really not approprate...

Here's one for the Side-Kick

We have touched on this subject before (mysaltysociables.blogspot.com/2011/09/pretzels.html), but I believe it is worth repeating - and today we will delve deeper into the importance of an assistant in TV shows. It could be thought of as
*yes we just made that up, but I think by the end of this post you'll agree that it is valid
For every Batman, you need a great side-kick and in the office world, your side-kick is your assistant.

As we've mentioned before, Melissa's assistant Stephanie (from Melissa & Joey) is a great asset to the show.  She's hyperactive and has a crush on Joe, which always makes us laugh.  In Drop Dead Diva Jane has a great no-nonsense, go-getter for an assistant.

Terri keeps Jane grounded and doesn't like to take crap from people, and makes sure Jane doesn't either. Plus the fact that she's a Private Detective (as well as an assistant) makes her super cool in our book.

In Fairly Legal, Kate Reed has a fabulous assistant named Leonardo Prince (usually called Leo for short).  He's enthusiastic, quite resourceful and he has a knack for keeping Kate out of trouble with her boss and her clients (yes, I paraphrased that from Wikipedia, but why rewrite what already works?).

The character bio on USA's website states that Leo is “…unflappable, and, thanks to his vast and varied connections – and seeming ability to know what Kate needs before even she knows she needs it – invaluable.”  And they made my point – plain as day.  These assistants are invaluable to the shows!  Plus I like the added depth they give to the shows...the subplots and such.  Well, I hope that you'll agree with us that they're indispensable.  And if you have an assistant, please thank them, because you know you couldn't do it without them.

We also want to point out that although our poll was in no way scientific (since only 3 people voted), the Peach Gummies won with 66% of the votes.

Peace, Love, and Zappatos to you all.....
