PRETZELS!

It’s been a long time since we last updated you all on our life – and other than a fantastic vacation we’ve just been catching up on M&J and clipping TONS of coupons!  Not sure how they pile up the way they do…. So we’re eating pretzels and cheese while catching up J

What state starts with Y?  Wyoming!!
What did the fish say when he ran into the wall?  DAM!
SHE’S NOT MY BOSS!  I’M FREELANCE!!  I wonder how many times Joey has said that in the show's  history?  Because he definitely said it a few times tonight.  And Mel's assistant Stephanie is definitely  growing on us J

She has a great sense of humor and she has the greatest lines.  Oh and seriously, Mel has FANTASTIC hair in every episode – it’s so unfair….  I guess that's a product of not having to do your own hair.  Maybe she's just born with great, easy to style hair - I've known people like that....

Some life advice from tonight's episodes:  When buying a fake ID, never try the baked goods.  They might have something special.

Ready Ready Ready Ready to Run

Hello our dear followers!
Tonight was the first night of summer!  We started out our evening by taking on the local crossword, "seven out of fifty-eight correct!"  After the beastly crossword, we took a brief swim in the pool with "bo bo" the clown and our flotation devices, or lack thereof.  All the while singing and making whirl pools.  After freezing our butts off and spending some good quality time with our dear physician, we retired for a favorite chick flick.

"Runaway Bride"!

Oh how we enjoyed the rantings of the old, but attractive, Richard Gere, the ever beautiful Julia Roberts and her crazy grandmother!

"Netta, cover your ears"

"I like his tight butt”
"Grandma"!
"Well I do"

All the while getting ready to mail coupons to the soldiers and preparing for next week's Melissa and Joey Season premiere!  So get ready readers next week is gonna be FANCRAPPINTASTIC!

TACO TUESDAYS!!

Thank you all for joining us for this special edition of Totally Time-Worthy Tuesday.  Our Dearest Physician is back!!!  It has been quite awhile and for her return we made home-made tacos.  Hardcore, you-bet-your-sweet-britches we made em by hand :)

Start with taco meat, and the fixes (lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese & taco sauce)

Mix the below ingredients in a large mixing bowl:

  • 3 Cups of Flour
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
Add the vegetable shortening or lard (or a combo of 1/2 and 1/2) - 6 Tbsp. Vegetable Shortening or lard
Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut in the shortening or just do it with your hands.
Next add 1 1/4 cups warm water (a little at a time) until your dough is soft & not sticky. *The water doesn't need to be that hot.

Knead the dough for a few minutes.

Pull pieces of dough off and form about 12 dough balls.  Let them rest for about 10 minutes (or longer if you'd like).

Heat up a cast iron pan (set it to about medium, if it's too hot the tortilla's will cook too fast.

Not you can roll the dough out.

Lay your tortilla on the hot pan, if takes just a few seconds to cook.  Flip it to the other side.  The should have nice brown speckles when they're cooked.  Place them in a towel or tortilla warmer until ready to serve.

VOILA!!  And boy were they fantastic!!  Can't you tell by the look on our faces?

So to all our dedicated readers This week do "Whatever floats your boat and toots your whistle"

I gotta meet this freakin' bird!

Totally Time Worth Tuesday was brought to you on Friday of last week.  After a weather delay (yes, even when it is sunny and 85 out there can be weather delays - who wants to blog when it's nice outside?) here is the weekly update.

We cut out copious amounts of coupons, there was about 4lbs of coupons in all.  And we almost got them all cut out. Took us about 2 hours or so (but we were watching House Bunny and Reba episodes, so that does create some distraction) - but we cranked them out.  Since some of our members always seem to be quoting House Bunny (mainly just "Good morning Pooter! You're looking dapper!") it was decided that we needed to watch it as a group and I must say that although it is sad how unintelligent the main character may seem at times, it does have some great lines and was good for some humor.

"The only magic I ever did was try to figure out how to stay in college for nine years and not go back to my trailer park in Idaho."

"Instead of the Mahi-Mahi, can I get just the one Mahi, because I'm not that hungry?"

So stay tuned for next week on our regularly scheduled TTWT.  We will be making homemade tacos in honor of Taco Tuesday :)  Hopefully we'll have lots of pictures and we might even attach our recipe for our fans to make at home!  And always remember "Kindness is just love with its work boots on."

Gluten free soy patties!!

When I see you smile, I see a ray of light, oh oh.....

On a beautiful Monday evening we gathered as is our ritual (only not on Tuesday) to share coupons and good times :)  We enjoyed a showing of Sydney White and ate chips and salsa (a personal favorite of one of our members).

"Medal of Honor is for whoosies, this is Gerkin of Honor.  I made it - it's a cross between God of War, Medal of Honor and V for Vendetta."

Naked Pain, in Twelve Parts

"Tyler: Who are you Sydney White? You throw a football like Matt Leinart, fearlessly conquer fraternity bathrooms, and clean up nice to boot!
Sydney: Well, I'm more of a Peyton Manning. Leinart's a lefty.
Tyler: Marry me."

"Is that a Stanley, 22oz, Anti-vibe framing hammer?  Can I touch it?"

We watched the end of Leap Year too, and there isn't much you can find wrong with an attractive Irishman:

"'Wait a minute wheres Louis?'
'Louis I.... hes fine I strapped him to the roof'
'You strapped him to the roof? He'll get filthily up there'
'Dont worry well throw him in the wash, Hell be grand.'"

"Declan: Mrs. O'Brady Callhan. Where the hell are you going?
Anna: You said no.
Declan:  I didn't say no. I didn't say anything.
Anna:  You walked away.
Declan: I was getting something.
Anna:  Really? That was a good time to go get something?
Declan: Yeah, it was actually."

"It's good luck to get engaged on a Sunday."
"And to end a journey."
"And to dig a well"
"You IDJIOT!!!  Does it look like they're digging a well?"

May your days be filled with gladness and the joys of a digging a well. Farewell thou dedicated readers. Till next week amigos!

Send in the Marines

Coupons - it's definitely a ritual :)  As time honoured as Totally Time-Worth Tuesday itself....  Do you remember this face?

Yeah, because we most definitely remember that face :)  Warren Christie - dream boat :)  And just in case you wanna see him in glasses....
Yeah, still super attractive :)  And most of us don't even like facial hair, but he can most certainly pull it off  ;)

Oldest line in the book (a couple looking at a fantastic view - and then he turns to her as she asks) "Doesn't this just look beautiful?"  "Yes, yes it does" he replies, while looking at her.  And it's cute, if he really means it...  So for our male readership, a note of advice - if you mean it, go ahead and use that line :)

GOOD MORNING PUDDER - YOU'RE LOOKING DAPPER TODAY :)

Also, another word of advice - Don't propose at baseball games; those people are idiots......
